First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a new tool could help elementary schools in Oakland, California follow state physical education (PE) laws more closely. Many schools, especially those serving mostly non-white and low-income students, do not meet PE requirements, which can lead to health disparities. Researchers tested a feedback tool in 35 schools to see if it could increase PE time and student activity levels.
