New tool aims to give dementia patients a stronger voice in cancer care decisions

Summary

This study tests a communication program called COACH-Cog for older adults who have both Alzheimer's or related dementia and cancer. About 300 people (patients, their care partners, and doctors) will take part. The goal is to see if the program helps patients and their families feel more supported and involved when making cancer treatment decisions.
