First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study is gathering detailed, real-time information from the Impella heart pump in 125 people with cardiogenic shock, a life-threatening condition where the heart can't pump enough blood. The goal is to collect data on blood flow, pressures, and other vital signs to help doctors better understand how the pump works and how to use it. No new treatments are being tested; the focus is on learning from the device's built-in measurements.
