New immunotherapy cocktail targets tough cancers

NCT ID NCT04021043

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 05, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tested a combination of three immunotherapy drugs (BMS-986156, ipilimumab, and nivolumab) with or without precise radiation therapy in 51 people with advanced lung, chest, or liver cancer that had spread. The goal was to find the safest doses and see if the treatment helps shrink tumors. While the approach aims to boost the immune system to fight cancer, it is not a cure and ongoing management is expected.
