NCT ID NCT05434858
First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looks at whether special scans (ultrasound and CT) can detect uric acid crystals in people with high uric acid levels who have never had gout symptoms. Researchers will follow 21 adults for up to 5 years to see if those with crystals are more likely to develop gout. The goal is to find early warning signs so treatment can start sooner.
