Summary
This study looked at how interleukin-6 (IL-6), an immune system signal, changes the way glucagon (a hormone) controls amino acid levels in the blood. 26 healthy volunteers received either a placebo or a drug that blocks IL-6, then had their amino acid and hormone levels measured. The goal was to understand basic body processes, not to test a treatment.
