Summary
This study aims to see if tracking a patient's jaw movements can accurately measure how hard they are working to breathe, without needing an uncomfortable tube down their throat. It will involve 50 adult ICU patients who are breathing on their own but still at risk of needing the ventilator again. The goal is to find a simpler, non-invasive way for doctors to monitor breathing effort and help patients come off ventilator support safely.
