NCT ID NCT00937001
First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at why many ICU patients suffer from severe muscle weakness that can last for months or years. Researchers will use muscle biopsies, ultrasound, and strength tests on 50 critically ill adults to find better ways to diagnose and track this condition. The goal is to understand the problem better, not to test a new treatment.
