Summary
This study tests whether icosapent ethyl, a purified fish-oil medication, can slow calcium buildup in the aortic valve of 110 adults aged 50+ with mild-to-moderate aortic valve stenosis. Participants receive the drug or a placebo, and researchers measure changes in valve calcium over time. The goal is to delay disease progression and the need for valve surgery.
