Dye-Guided massage may stop arm swelling in breast cancer patients

NCT ID NCT06327490

First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at a new way to do a special arm massage (manual lymphatic drainage) to prevent lymphedema, a common side effect of breast cancer surgery. About 30 women having lymph node removal will be assigned to either standard massage or massage guided by a green dye that shows their unique lymph vessels. The goal is to see if the guided method is easier to follow and more effective at reducing arm swelling.
