Glowing dye lights up Kids' tumors for surgeons

NCT ID NCT04084067

Summary

This study is testing whether a special fluorescent dye can help surgeons see and remove pediatric solid tumors more completely during surgery. Children and teens with solid tumors who need surgery will receive an injection of the dye, which makes tumors glow under a special camera. The goal is to see if this glowing effect helps surgeons find all the tumor tissue and check that none is left behind after removal.
