Summary
This study looked at whether doing cardiac rehab at home, or a mix of home and clinic sessions, works as well as going to the clinic for all sessions. 206 heart patients participated, using a mobile health platform and home exercise. The goal was to see if flexible options could improve recovery and reduce hospital readmissions.

What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
mobile health platform and home-based exercise program
What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer heart patients more flexible rehab options that are as effective as traditional clinic visits.
What could go wrong
This is a completed study with 206 participants, so results are limited in size. Home-based rehab may not suit all patients, and adherence could vary.
