Walking and learning: a new combo to tame IBS pain?

NCT ID NCT07397533

First seen Feb 09, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding pain neuroscience education (learning how the brain processes pain) to moderate aerobic exercise (walking) can help adults with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) feel less pain and have fewer symptoms. About 33 people will be split into three groups: exercise only, exercise plus education, or a control group. The goal is to find drug-free ways to manage IBS and improve quality of life.
