New trial tests numbing shot to ease painful gynecologic procedure

NCT ID NCT07178379

Summary

This study aims to see if a local numbing shot reduces pain for women undergoing an outpatient hysteroscopy, a procedure to examine the uterus. Researchers will compare pain levels between patients receiving the numbing medication and those receiving a placebo saline solution. The goal is to provide better evidence on whether this pain relief method should be routinely offered.
