First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a second thyroid hormone (liothyronine) to the standard levothyroxine treatment can improve cholesterol levels and quality of life in people with hypothyroidism. About 90 adults who already take levothyroxine will be randomly assigned to one of three dose combinations. The goal is to find a safe, effective regimen for larger future trials.
