Sweet babies study: can a tiny sensor track newborn blood sugar?
NCT ID NCT07375615
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) can reliably track blood sugar levels in newborns at risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) during their first 72 hours. Researchers enrolled 25 babies born large for gestational age or to mothers with diabetes. The goal was to see if CGM readings matched standard blood tests, helping doctors monitor these fragile infants more easily.
