First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looked at whether continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) can accurately track blood sugar levels in newborns during the first 72 hours of life. Researchers tested the devices on 25 babies who were large for their age or whose mothers had diabetes. The goal was to see if CGMs could replace frequent heel-prick blood tests.
