Can a Nurse's soothing words replace pills for procedure anxiety?

NCT ID NCT07424209

Summary

This study is testing whether a special, calming way of talking to patients can reduce their fear, stress, and pain during a common heart test called coronary angiography. Over 300 adults scheduled for this elective procedure will be randomly assigned to receive either this 'hypnotic communication' from trained nurses alongside standard care, or standard care alone. Researchers will measure changes in emotional distress and pain levels to see if this simple, drug-free technique makes the experience better for patients.
