First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tested whether a simple hypnosis technique called the 'magic glove' can prevent pain in children aged 7 to 14 during propofol injection, compared to the standard numbing medicine lidocaine. One hundred children scheduled for surgery took part. The goal was to see which method works better to reduce pain and improve the child's experience.
