Oxygen therapy tested to help sarcoma wounds heal better
NCT ID NCT03144206
First seen Apr 06, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This pilot study looks at whether hyperbaric oxygen therapy (breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber) can improve wound healing in adults with soft tissue sarcoma who had radiation and surgery. About 20 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the oxygen therapy or standard care. The main goal is to see if the treatment is practical and acceptable, and to check for wound infections or other complications.
