First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested a small device called the Hydrus Microstent in 217 adults with open-angle glaucoma that was not well controlled with standard treatments. The goal was to see if the implant could safely lower eye pressure and reduce the need for eye drops. Results showed that many patients had a significant drop in eye pressure while using the same or fewer medications after one year.
