Mini stent offers new hope for glaucoma patients

Summary
This study tested a small device called the Hydrus Microstent in 217 adults with open-angle glaucoma that was not well controlled with other treatments. The goal was to see if the implant could safely lower eye pressure and reduce the need for eye drops. After 12 months, many patients had a significant drop in eye pressure while using the same or fewer medications.
