First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tested a new breathing support method (HVNI) against standard non-invasive ventilation (NIV) in 66 COPD patients with dangerously high carbon dioxide levels. The goal was to see if HVNI could safely lower carbon dioxide and reduce the need for a breathing tube. Results will help doctors choose the best support for these patients.
