Wearable tech study: can your heartbeat predict your best workout?
NCT ID NCT06425939
First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at how heart rate variability (HRV) — the tiny time differences between heartbeats — relates to workout intensity and performance in everyday life. 49 healthy adults who exercise 2-4 times a week wore a Whoop fitness tracker to measure HRV, training load, and performance on strength tests. The goal was to see if HRV from a wearable can help personalize training recommendations.
