Scientists listen to the Brain's language code during surgery

NCT ID NCT05014841

Summary

This study aims to discover how the human brain understands speech across different languages like English, Spanish, and Mandarin. Researchers will record brain activity directly from the surface of the brain in patients already undergoing surgery for epilepsy or brain tumors. The findings could help scientists develop better future treatments for language disorders like aphasia or dyslexia.
