Mind over mountain: can what you tell yourself make running easier?
NCT ID NCT05389111
Summary
This study aimed to understand how a runner's internal thoughts and self-talk affect how hard a trail run feels. Researchers worked with 76 healthy adult trail runners to see if training their internal dialogue could change their perception of effort during a run. The goal was to gather knowledge that could later help runners train more effectively and recover better.
