Scientists track how common viruses steal independence from seniors
NCT ID NCT07388173
Summary
This international study aims to understand how hospital stays for common respiratory viruses like flu, COVID-19, and RSV affect the long-term independence of adults aged 60 and older. Researchers will follow 1,600 hospitalized patients to measure changes in their ability to perform daily tasks over six months. The goal is to gather better evidence to improve vaccination and prevention strategies for this vulnerable group.
