NCT ID NCT06282757
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looked at how the way a physiotherapist talks about virtual reality (VR) can change what people with chronic pain think and expect from treatment. Over 100 adults with long-term muscle or joint pain watched a video about VR that used either positive (placebo) or negative (nocebo) language. The goal was to see if these different messages affected how believable and helpful they thought VR treatment would be.
