Hospital study: your own glucose monitor could make your stay safer
NCT ID NCT07006480
Summary
This study is testing whether using a patient's personal continuous glucose monitor (CGM) during a hospital stay can help doctors manage their diabetes better. Researchers will compare two groups: one where hospital staff actively monitor the CGM data to adjust insulin, and another where they use standard fingerstick checks. The goal is to see if using the CGM leads to fewer dangerous highs and lows in blood sugar and improves patient and staff satisfaction.
