Hospital trial: your own glucose monitor could replace finger pricks
NCT ID NCT07006480
Summary
This study is testing whether letting hospital staff monitor data from patients' personal continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) leads to better blood sugar control during hospital stays. 150 adults with diabetes who use CGMs at home will be randomly assigned to either have their CGM data actively used by their care team or follow standard hospital monitoring with finger-prick checks. The goal is to see if using CGM data helps keep blood sugar in a healthy range more often and reduces dangerous highs and lows.
