Could treating depression at home be as effective as the hospital?

NCT ID NCT07490379

First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a gentle brain stimulation technique (tDCS) at home works as well as receiving it in a hospital for people with moderate to severe depression. Sixty-six adults will either perform the sessions at home with nurse support or in the hospital. The goal is to see if home treatment can reduce depressive symptoms just as effectively, making care more accessible.
