Could a tablet at home keep cirrhosis patients out of the hospital?
NCT ID NCT02457988
Summary
This study tested whether sending cirrhosis patients home with a special tablet device could help them stay healthier and avoid returning to the hospital. The device monitored vital signs like weight and blood pressure and could alert a care coordinator if problems arose. Researchers compared this approach to standard follow-up care to see which worked better at preventing readmissions within 30 days.
