Exergaming at home boosts COPD rehab, study finds
NCT ID NCT04816825
First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether a home-based exercise program using video games (exergaming) with remote supervision by a physiotherapist could improve physical fitness in people with COPD. 92 participants were split into two groups: one did exergaming three times a week for 12 weeks, while the other received standard care. The goal was to see if the exergaming group showed better results in tests like the 1-minute sit-to-stand test, walking ability, and quality of life.
