First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a 12-week home exercise program could help people aged 45 and older with stage 4-5 chronic kidney disease (not on dialysis). 51 participants were randomly assigned to either do the exercises or continue usual care. Researchers measured changes in muscle strength, risk of muscle loss, fatigue, sleep quality, depression, and overall quality of life. The goal was to see if a simple, home-based routine could improve daily well-being without needing special equipment or clinic visits.
