Home brain stimulation trial aims to Fine-Tune Parkinson's treatment

NCT ID NCT07410598

Summary

This study is testing whether new patterns of deep brain stimulation (DBS) are safe and comfortable for people with Parkinson's disease to use at home. Sixty participants who already have stable DBS implants will try different stimulation patterns for two weeks each, switching between their usual setting and a new pattern. The goal is to see if these new patterns can be tolerated and if they might help control symptoms better than standard DBS.
