New study aims to help people with severe hoarding get mental health care

Summary

This study looks at 60 adults with severe hoarding disorder who are already in contact with social services in Copenhagen. Researchers want to understand what other mental health conditions these individuals have and test a program where a team of doctors and social workers helps them connect with mental health services. The goal is to see if this outreach can get them the psychiatric care they need.
