Muscle-Building supplement tested for COVID-19 patients with liver disease

Summary
This study looks at whether a supplement called HMB (a natural substance related to the amino acid leucine) can help reverse muscle loss in people who have both alcoholic liver disease and COVID-19 pneumonia. About 48 participants will take the supplement and be monitored for changes in muscle mass and hospital visits over 90 days. The goal is to see if HMB can improve recovery and reduce serious complications.
