New hope for kids with rare, Life-Threatening immune storm

NCT ID NCT04551131

Summary

This study is testing a new treatment approach for hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), a rare and severe immune system disorder. It combines three drugs—ruxolitinib, dexamethasone, and etoposide—in a flexible plan that adjusts based on how each patient responds. The goal is to see if this approach is effective and safe for children and young adults, both for newly diagnosed patients and for those whose disease has returned or not responded to other treatments.
