Scientists track hidden HIV during suppression therapy
NCT ID NCT00767312
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looks at whether the amount of HIV in the blood of people on long-term antiretroviral therapy stays the same or changes over time. It also checks if the virus develops new genetic mutations while being suppressed. About 70 adults with HIV who have very low virus levels and are already in an NIH study will join. They visit the clinic every 6 months for blood tests and a special white blood cell collection.
