Scientists pause HIV meds to unlock virus secrets

NCT ID NCT04359186

Summary

This study temporarily stops HIV medications in volunteers to understand what happens in the earliest stages when the virus might return. Participants will pause their antiretroviral therapy for up to three weeks while researchers perform intensive monitoring. The goal is to learn how the body and virus interact during treatment breaks and identify early signs of viral rebound.
