ER nurses take HIV test themselves to learn and fight stigma
NCT ID NCT05615935
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tested whether having emergency room nurses experience an actual HIV test themselves could improve their knowledge about HIV testing and reduce stigma toward people living with HIV. About 74 nurses from a hospital in Taipei, Taiwan, were split into two groups: one group just got learning materials, while the other also received a real HIV test and counseling. Researchers measured their knowledge and attitudes one month later.
