First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at whether having emergency room nurses experience an HIV test themselves could improve their knowledge and reduce stigma toward people with HIV. About 74 nurses from a hospital in Taipei, Taiwan took part. Half received standard learning materials, while the other half also got a real HIV test and counseling. The goal was to see if this hands-on approach changes how nurses think and act.
