Summary
This completed study tested 660 Ukrainian refugees in Slovakia for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C using finger-prick rapid tests. The goal was to find out how common these infections are in this community and to connect those who tested positive with confirmatory testing and treatment. Participants also received counseling and prevention information. The study did not test any new treatments or vaccines.
