First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested 660 Ukrainian refugees in Slovakia for HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis B and C using finger-prick rapid tests. The goal was to find out how common these infections are in this community. Participants received counseling and, if positive, were referred for confirmatory testing and treatment. The study did not test a new treatment but gathered important health data.
