First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tested a new program called STARS for transgender women who have experienced intimate partner violence. The goal was to see if it could lower their risk of getting HIV by encouraging safer sex, PrEP use, and regular testing. Thirty-seven women took part, and the program was compared to a relaxation training group. The results will help design a larger future study.
