Scientists test Multi-Pronged attack to free HIV patients from daily pills

NCT ID NCT04357821

Summary

This study is testing whether a combination of vaccines, immune-boosting drugs, and lab-made antibodies can help people with HIV control the virus on their own, without needing daily antiretroviral therapy (ART). Eleven participants on stable ART will receive the experimental regimen and then carefully stop their regular medication under close medical supervision. The goal is to see if this approach can induce a 'remission,' where the virus stays at very low levels or undetectable for an extended period after treatment ends.
