Summary
This study tested whether a long-acting injectable drug (cabotegravir) is safe and effective for preventing HIV in women, compared to taking a daily oral pill (TDF/FTC). Over 3,200 HIV-uninfected women aged 18-45 participated. The goal was to see if the shot could offer a more convenient prevention option.
