New ring could protect women from HIV for 3 months

Summary
This study tested a vaginal ring that slowly releases the HIV drug tenofovir over 90 days. 49 women participated to see how safe the ring is and how much drug gets into the body. The goal is to find a convenient way for women to protect themselves from HIV.
