Summary

This study looks at whether inflammation caused by HIV affects memory, attention, and thinking speed in teenagers. Researchers in Eswatini will compare 50 HIV-positive teens on antiretroviral therapy with 30 HIV-negative teens. They will measure inflammation markers in blood and test cognitive skills using a symbol-matching task.
