Summary

This study looks at whether inflammation caused by HIV affects memory, attention, and thinking speed in teenagers. Researchers will compare 50 HIV-positive teens and 30 HIV-negative teens in Eswatini using a symbol-matching test and blood tests for inflammation markers. The goal is to better understand how HIV impacts the brain during adolescence.
